Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and test secure software solutions across frontend and backend systems.
- Pair with client developers, engineers, and military personnel to deliver user stories and business value.
- Teach and adapt practices including design thinking, test-driven development, paired programming, continuous deployment, backlog management, and user feedback.
- Deliver reliable functionality continuously and evaluate feedback from real users.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their learning preferences, feedback styles, and terminology.
- Balance user needs, business objectives, stakeholder vision, technical feasibility, and validated assumptions when making engineering decisions.
- Champion AI-augmented ways of working to accelerate delivery, reduce cycle time, and improve outcomes.
- Help ensure project success, customer satisfaction, and the growth of client engineering capabilities.
- Travel up to 25% for contract performance, customer site visits, and program activities.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of software development experience in a variety of programming languages.
- Experience with PHP, Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Spring Boot, React.js, Vue, or Redux, plus both frontend and backend development.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Git, Concourse, GitLab CI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
- Demonstrated API development experience and comfort running software in Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, databases, and design patterns.
- Experience with test-driven development and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills and interest in pair programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance for U.S. Government work.
- Preferred: cloud-native application development, product or development team leadership, continuous delivery, and direct client experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with successful completion of a background investigation.
