Base Salary
$250k - $276k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of novel training methodologies for small language models.
- Design, implement, and evaluate model training experiments to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with research scientists and engineers on scalable training pipelines.
- Develop techniques for model compression and domain adaptation.
- Integrate AI safety and fairness principles into model training processes.
- Mentor cross-functional teams on applied machine learning best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and datasets to accelerate AI training workflows.
- Partner with product teams to translate model capabilities into actionable features.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in applied research or engineering roles focused on training language models.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Deep understanding of language model architectures and optimization strategies.
- Experience with distributed training and scalable AI infrastructure.
- Passion for AI safety and delivering user-centered AI technology.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across teams.
