Base Salary
$141k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Enable continuous regional failover and improve Temporal Cloud’s platform resilience through high availability and disaster recovery systems.
- Automate control-plane operations and manage resources, namespaces, and multi-tenant cloud services.
- Scale and optimize database systems while maintaining latency, reliability, and availability.
- Redesign the deployment path from commit to production using infrastructure, deployment tooling, and systems-design expertise.
- Build reliable CI/CD pipelines that support safer rollouts, faster iteration, and improved test coverage.
- Develop customer- and engineer-facing tools and interfaces including APIs, CLI tooling, Terraform provider integrations, SDKs, and a Kubernetes operator.
Requirements
- Backend engineering experience with a cloud or infrastructure focus and some operations exposure.
- Experience working on a control-plane team for cloud-based microservices.
- Experience building or operating multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with density-oriented cloud-provider architectures.
- Strong PostgreSQL or similar relational-database experience.
- Experience designing for high availability and managing compute and traffic at scale.
- Strong database skills and a preference for building tools rather than only configuring systems.
- Fluency with CLI and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to data pipelining is preferred.
