JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Collaborate with Product to understand user needs and develop and deliver backend product features.
- Design and evolve architectures, including serverless, managed-cloud, microservices, Kubernetes, and event-driven systems.
- Own tasks from estimation through release and post-production, including troubleshooting and resolving defects.
- Write tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain high-quality software and engineering standards.
- Assist with releases, deployment processes, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
- Contribute to technical initiatives, toolset improvements, knowledge sharing, and team learning.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools while validating outputs through peer review, testing, and secure coding practices.
Requirements
- Working proficiency in English is required for collaboration with the London team.
- Track record of delivering high-quality software that adapts to business and product needs.
- Experience with a JVM language such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing systems from scratch and evolving existing architectures in serverless and managed-cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures with message brokers, including Kafka.
- Experience with production monitoring and alerting, APIs, and Git flow.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing abilities.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
- Experience with DynamoDB and/or Aurora is preferred.
- FinTech experience and experience developing multi-country products with localizations and currencies are preferred.
- A GitHub, Stack Overflow, or application portfolio is a nice-to-have.
