Responsibilities
- Execute feature and bug-fix testing using manual and automated testing techniques.
- Analyze code and identify, document, and track software defects.
- Automate front-end testing and use other automation tools.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed.
- Set up, maintain, and operate experimental and hot-test network systems.
- Perform system installations, configurations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Write clear and reproducible problem reports and test results.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software quality assurance or network engineering experience in IT or a related industry.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments is required.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, switching, and routing.
- Familiarity with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and combinations of software and hardware components.
- Knowledge of firewalls, Linux, and packet-capture utilities such as Wireshark.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Shell, Ruby, Perl, or Python.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, motivation, responsibility, and ability to learn quickly.
- Cloud computing background is preferred.
