Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand features, use cases, and customer scenarios.
  • Design test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test specifications.
  • Execute manual and automated testing on cybersecurity products.
  • Write, maintain, and execute test automation scripts.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects with developers.
  • Document release notes, user guides, reference materials, and use case scenarios for new releases.

Requirements

  • Require 3–5 years of software testing experience.
  • Require a degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
  • Have experience with VMware, ESXi, hypervisors, or OpenStack virtual machine environments.
  • Know firewalls, Linux, Sniff, or Ethereal.
  • Have expertise in SD-WAN, IPSec, SASE, Web Proxy, Zero Trust Network Access, MFA, certificate-based authentication, data encryption, and authentication methods.
  • Have experience with Web UI testing, UX design evaluation, and RESTful API validation.
  • Know general QA procedures, methodologies, and software development fundamentals.
  • Have experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC and server software and hardware in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Demonstrate logical and analytical software troubleshooting skills, clear technical writing, and the ability to produce reproducible problem reports and test results.
  • Be able to collaborate across departments and complete assigned work under tight time constraints.
  • Scripting experience with shell, TCL, Perl, or Python is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of databases, JSON APIs, and Kubernetes is considered an asset.
