Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and operate backend services for context ingestion, indexing, storage, retrieval orchestration, API access, source configuration, and administration.
- Build the architecture for a scalable multi-tenant SaaS service, including tenant isolation, usage tracking, quotas, audit logs, background jobs, and reliable service boundaries.
- Develop APIs and service interfaces that let AI agents, MCP tools, CLIs, and internal applications retrieve context, provenance, confidence signals, and warnings.
- Make practical product and infrastructure tradeoffs as the system evolves from prototype to production.
- Instrument and operate services using metrics, logs, traces, alerts, dashboards, and observability tools.
- Shape architecture, service boundaries, storage choices, API contracts, deployment patterns, and engineering practices for the new product area.
- Take ownership of AI solutions and contribute effectively across teams in a highly autonomous environment.
Requirements
- Solid experience building production-grade, user-facing software systems.
- Experience delivering software into production that is actively used by customers or users.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and frameworks, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and GenAI-powered applications.
- Experience working in cloud-native environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience using observability tools to understand and troubleshoot system behavior.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, define scope, make pragmatic architectural decisions, iterate quickly, and communicate effectively.
- Bonus: experience with agent frameworks or multi-agent workflows.
- Bonus: experience as a data analyst or with data platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Bonus: experience building tools for data engineering.
