Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize a technical vision for the Card Tech domain.
- Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions while ensuring technical design and implementation quality.
- Advise on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional system characteristics.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy, API standards, coding standards, and design standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Deliver hands-on, production-ready software while mentoring engineers and strengthening technical expertise across engineering and product teams.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, modernization efforts, and technology best practices.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
- Apply agentic AI coding tools to address systemic development challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.
- Preferred 10+ years of full-lifecycle system development experience from conception through production support.
- Preferred 5+ years with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 10+ years with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integrations.
- Preferred 5+ years mentoring senior engineers and driving professional development within technical teams.
- Preferred 2+ years leading cross-domain architectural reviews and establishing coding and design standards.
- Expertise in the strategic application of agentic AI coding tools.
