Responsibilities
- Design, implement, automate, and optimize enterprise cybersecurity toolsets and hardened mission applications.
- Automate cybersecurity architecture and Zero Trust capabilities within infrastructure as code for on-premises and distributed platforms.
- Integrate IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and other security controls into IaC, PaaS, and mission applications.
- Harden IaC, PaaS, and mission applications using STIG/SRGs, CIS benchmarks, and industry best practices.
- Support secure software deployments and containerized platforms.
- Integrate cybersecurity tools and automate tool outputs into dynamic decision-making dashboards.
- Automate RMF security control implementation, metrics reporting, telemetry pipelines, and continuous compliance evidence.
- Write Ansible playbooks and scripts, review cyber engineering and software developer code commits, and integrate ArgoCD automation.
- Generate and maintain SBOMs, RBOMs, and software artifacts.
- Collaborate with software development, IT, DevOps, hardware/engineering teams, and customers to improve security throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain the required polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, cyber engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of cyber engineering experience, including at least 5 years with modern software technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes platform security, modular architectures, enterprise architecture, secure SDLC practices, and cloud-native security.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity engineering toolsets, deployment methodologies, SIEM, SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability exposure technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Zero Trust tools and implementation, micro-segmentation, and identity-centric security services.
- Knowledge of IaC, PaaS, mission applications, RMF automation, control engineering, metrics reporting, and telemetry pipelines.
- Security+ or CISSP certification, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of onboarding.
- Experience with at least one scripting language, such as Bash, Python, Java, or PowerShell, and knowledge of Ansible playbooks and ArgoCD integration.
- Working knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, firewalls, packet inspection tools, and Linux, Windows, and Kubernetes system security.
- Preferred qualifications include multiple industry certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CEH, GCIH, or CISSP Associate; familiarity with multiple programming or scripting languages; exposure to DevSecOps pipelines; experience with cross-enclave, classified, highly regulated, and compliance-as-code environments; and knowledge of threat modeling and adversary emulation such as MITRE ATT&CK.
