Base Salary
$184k - $357k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to NVIDIA’s video system software stack for cloud gaming, broadcasting, videoconferencing, and low-power video playback.
- Develop and optimize Windows device-driver capture, encode, and playback pipelines using GPU and video hardware accelerators.
- Implement and maintain video acceleration and digital rights management functionality.
- Own features through requirements, design, development, debugging, and production.
- Collaborate with NVIDIA teams, partners, and customers to solve complex video software problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- 8+ years of meaningful software development experience, though outstanding engineers with less experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in C/C++ with strong software development, optimization, and debugging skills.
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and debugging abilities for complex and difficult-to-reproduce issues.
- Prior Windows or Linux driver development experience is helpful; operating system internals and WDDM knowledge are strong pluses.
- Knowledge or experience with Microsoft MFT, DirectShow, DirectX, DXVA, video processing, and H.264, HEVC, VP9, or AV1 is advantageous.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $184,000 to $287,500 for Level 4 or $224,000 to $356,500 for Level 5.
