Base Salary
$100k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and operate reliable, scalable, and secure production infrastructure.
- Own cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, and networking while optimizing availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation to improve developer velocity and system reliability.
- Lead incident response, including on-call rotations, incident coordination, postmortems, and root cause analyses.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to balance reliability, performance, cost, and development speed.
- Automate capacity planning, safe rollouts, graceful degradation, and data access controls.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while shaping infrastructure team culture and standards.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience building and operating production infrastructure at scale.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, and security principles.
- Experience with CI/CD systems, containerization, and modern infrastructure automation.
- Experience with or ability to learn Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with observability and incident management tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, BetterStack, and PagerDuty, as well as SLOs and error budgets.
- Experience with data and systems supporting analytics and customer-facing workloads, especially in serverless environments such as Neon and Modal.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and taking end-to-end ownership.
- Willingness to work in person in Flatiron, NYC five days a week.
- Excitement about working with coding agents and applying agents to real-economy problems.
