Responsibilities
- Build and maintain GitOps workflows using Git as the source of truth for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Manage promotion flows across development, production, and edge-device environments.
- Write and maintain Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code for AWS through pull requests, reviews, and automated pipelines.
- Build and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for safely testing, validating, and deploying changes.
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and dashboards; participate in incident response and post-mortems.
- Apply software security best practices and automate repetitive operational work.
- Write small tools or services and support engineering teams with deployments, environment setup, and cost visibility.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, Platform, or Infrastructure engineering.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps best practices and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform.
- Familiarity with AWS, including EKS, RDS, S3, and EC2.
- Scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, or a similar language.
- Basic understanding of software security fundamentals and willingness to deepen that knowledge.
- Nice-to-have: Kubernetes deployment, operations, and troubleshooting experience.
- Nice-to-have: experience deploying to edge devices or managing distributed-system fleets.
- Nice-to-have: experience with External Secrets, Sealed Secrets, or Vault.
