Responsibilities

  • Develop and support complex vendor integration solutions through analysis, specification, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Create technical design documents and design bi-directional, reverse, and client interface solutions using proprietary tools and integration engine technologies.
  • Develop templates and certify new vendors, products, and functionality against Quest requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and document beta client interface projects, secondary development efforts, and test plans.
  • Provide Tier 3 Service Manager ticket support for complex production interfaces and integrations.
  • Develop, implement, and test high-complexity production enhancements for HUB vendors and customers.
  • Monitor integration engine reports and resolve problematic customer connectivity issues.
  • Support emerging technologies and interoperability initiatives, including FHIR, HL7 LRI guides, and genomic reporting.
  • Support the setup of HUB interfaces and comply with Quest Diagnostics’ mission, values, and standards.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Epic HL7 laboratory implementation experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a laboratory customer connectivity role.
  • A BS/BA degree or comparable experience.
  • Preferred experience of 5+ years in healthcare and/or clinical information systems support.
  • Proficiency with multiple LIS platforms deployed at Quest Diagnostics.
  • Understanding of support tools, processes, environments, call tracking software such as Service Manager, Quanum, interfaces, and HL7.
  • Strong troubleshooting, customer service, teamwork, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn emerging technologies and continuously improve technical skills.
  • Proficiency with interface support, general connectivity support, and problem-resolution procedures.
  • A combination of information technology, customer service, and project management skills or equivalent training.
