Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate backend services using C#/.NET on Azure.
- Build resilient microservices and REST APIs using OpenAPI, JSON Schema, and contract-first design.
- Implement distributed messaging workflows with Event Hubs, Service Bus, IoT Hub, Event Grid, and internal event pipelines.
- Improve system scalability, latency, data durability, operational reliability, and observability.
- Lead CI/CD and automation initiatives covering build, integration, end-to-end, load, regression, chaos, and resilience testing.
- Design and execute performance tests for device telemetry, fan-out messaging, and large-scale workloads.
- Participate in architecture reviews, RFCs, design sessions, and platform roadmap discussions.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with firmware, mobile, product, SRE, DevOps, QA, and partner teams on end-to-end IoT solutions.
- Perform L3 investigations, root-cause analysis, and long-term production remediation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade cloud systems.
- Deep expertise in C#/.NET, distributed systems, concurrency, and scalable service design.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and Azure messaging services.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and frequent safe software delivery.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Redis.
- Experience with connected devices or IoT platforms is valued.
- Familiarity with TypeScript and React for internal tools or dashboards is valued.
- Experience with performance tuning, message-throughput optimization, and distributed-system debugging is valued.
- Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, and continuous-improvement skills.
