Responsibilities
- Design and implement testing approaches across UI, API, and data layers.
- Build and maintain automated UI and API test suites.
- Establish risk-based test strategies and prioritize testing around critical user journeys.
- Identify quality risks, ensure coverage of high-risk areas, and support defect analysis and root-cause identification.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and define smoke, regression, and other test execution approaches.
- Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams during releases and support stable deployment processes.
- Establish testing standards, improve quality processes, and promote shared ownership of quality.
- Partner with developers on shift-left testing and review test quality in pull requests.
- Share testing patterns, tooling knowledge, and lessons learned through documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Apply and evaluate AI-assisted tools for test generation, test data creation, defect triage, and risk-based prioritization.
Requirements
- Hands-on technical capability in software quality engineering and test automation.
- Experience designing testing strategies across UI, API, and data layers.
- Ability to build, maintain, and improve automated test suites and address flaky or redundant tests.
- Ability to assess system quality risks and apply risk-based validation approaches.
- Experience integrating testing into CI/CD and release processes.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, engineering teams, and DevOps teams.
- Ability to establish testing standards, influence delivery practices, and share knowledge across teams.
- Experience or interest in applying AI-assisted testing tools and demonstrating measurable productivity improvements.
