Base Salary
$130k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, cloud-native, resilient applications and infrastructure in AWS with other Site Reliability Engineers.
- Maintain and improve extensible infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Maintain and improve deployment strategies and continuous delivery workflows.
- Deliver observability, monitoring, and alerting patterns for applications and infrastructure.
- Serve as an escalation point for identifying and resolving production incidents and their root causes.
- Assist with designing globally distributed systems and processes.
- Identify and correct deficiencies in applications and infrastructure.
- Define approaches and tailored solutions for complex technical problems.
- Lead projects with other Site Reliability Engineers and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Requirements
- BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent plus five years of experience.
- Proficiency authoring scripts in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
- Experience designing and operating high-scale patterns in AWS.
- Experience building repeatable continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows; GitLab is preferred.
- Ability to understand and debug complex distributed systems.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Training in secure coding practices is preferred.
- Confident Python development is preferred.
- Professional-level AWS certification is preferred.
- Experience with GCP and/or Azure is preferred.
- Experience at a public company and open-source contributions or technical blog experience are preferred.
