Responsibilities

Build and ship critical software components, complex features, prototypes, integrations, and reference implementations for retail platforms.
Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery, technical design, implementation, delivery sign-off, and post-release operational support.
Lead Discovery and Delivery Tracks by validating feasibility, creating backlog items, preserving design intent, and ensuring quality and non-functional requirements.
Produce technical designs including ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
Lead client workshops, present technical solutions, make trade-off decisions, drive approvals, and serve as a platform subject-matter expert.
Use AI and agentic workflows for design, coding, prototyping, test generation, documentation, and automated validation while ensuring responsible use.
Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and example-driven leadership, and contribute to platform strategy and reusable assets.
Manage technical risks involving compatibility, data integrity, security, scalability, observability, and compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of professional software development experience with current, daily hands-on coding and prototyping.
5+ years building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems using Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
Strong proficiency with Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, React or Vue, REST/OpenAPI, messaging platforms, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, automated testing, and AI-assisted development workflows.
Experience owning medium-to-large solutions through design, implementation, and post-release operational accountability.
Practical experience with generative AI and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor, with measurable delivery impact.
Excellent stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, technical presentation, mentoring, code review, and engineering leadership skills.
Preferred qualifications include retail platform and POS knowledge, Azure certifications, enterprise security and compliance experience, Dual-Track Agile leadership, platform strategy experience, API-first design, and formal specifications such as OpenAPI, UML+OCL, or TLA+.
