Base Salary
$159k - $305k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement MPC threshold-signature schemes such as DKLS23 for ECDSA key generation and signing.
- Design confidential-computing services targeting AMD SEV-SNP and Intel TDX through Confidential Containers.
- Implement RATS attestation so key shares are released only after requesting nodes prove hardware and software integrity to a Key Broker Service.
- Design cold-ceremony workflows using offline hardware tokens as disaster-recovery and deep-storage Key Encryption Keys.
- Develop and optimize memory-safe Rust and Go code that handles key material only within encrypted memory regions.
- Cryptographically bind business-logic approvals, including WebAuthn assertions, to MPC signing sessions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of specialty software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 3+ years of backend or systems programming experience with expert-level Go proficiency.
- At least 6 months of elliptic curve cryptography experience.
- At least 1 year of experience with BFT consensus algorithms, P2P networking, state replication, and reliable distributed systems.
- Desired qualifications include deep Cosmos SDK and CometBFT experience, including custom modules and consensus modifications.
- Desired qualifications include knowledge of Pedersen commitments, zero-knowledge proofs such as Bulletproofs or Sigma protocols, MPC or VSS, Ristretto255, and gnark-crypto.
- Ability to translate academic cryptography papers and preprints into functioning code.
- Background in fintech, payment systems, or high-frequency trading platforms is desirable.
