Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architectural authority across cloud-native, microservices, event-driven, and AI-enabled platforms.
- Define and govern architecture patterns, engineering standards, and technology practices.
- Lead adoption of responsible AI and AI-assisted software development and delivery practices.
- Establish and uplift DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, platform engineering, and operational excellence practices.
- Drive technology modernisation through microservices adoption, containerisation, enterprise integration, and reusable platform patterns.
- Influence architecture and engineering decisions across complex transformation initiatives.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Mentor, coach, and transfer knowledge to improve engineering capability and maturity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners, senior stakeholders, and geographically distributed Agile teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and governing cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery, including enterprise AI capabilities, semantic search, machine learning, and responsible AI practices.
- Strong software and platform engineering capability covering DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security by design.
- Proven experience leading enterprise technology modernisation and transformation initiatives and influencing architecture decisions.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, or GKE, including platform automation, governance, and workload management.
- Experience with cloud modernisation, SRE, platform engineering, observability, and enterprise-scale automation.
- Experience leading Agile delivery teams, including geographically distributed teams, with a focus on coaching and capability uplift.
- Strong understanding of security, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- A valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check is required.
