Responsibilities
- Design and build SAP extensions with RAP and CDS views in accordance with clean-core and modern extensibility principles.
- Develop and maintain Fiori/UI5 and Fiori Elements applications using SAP Business Application Studio.
- Assess and implement user-requested changes, favoring BTP-based extensions over core modifications.
- Analyze end-user incidents and provide workarounds, fixes, and root-cause analysis.
- Build and expose OData v4 services with RAP and maintain legacy OData v2 services.
- Configure and maintain the Fiori Launchpad using the spaces and pages model.
- Develop integrations with SAP BTP Integration Suite, REST/SOAP APIs, and SAP API Business Hub.
- Support key-user extensibility, S/4HANA implementation and migration projects, and clean-core assessments.
Requirements
- 4+ years of SAP development experience with ABAP, ABAP OO, and/or Fiori/UI5.
- Experience with RAP and CDS view development, or strong aptitude for transitioning from classic ABAP.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Application Studio and working knowledge of OData v4 and OData v2.
- Experience with SAP BTP, including the ABAP Environment and/or Cloud Foundry environment.
- Understanding of clean-core principles, SAP extensibility, and key-user, developer, and side-by-side extensibility.
- Experience with Fiori Elements and/or freestyle SAPUI5 development and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs; exposure to SAP BTP Integration Suite or API Management is advantageous.
- Experience with SAP ABAP OO development.
- S/4HANA implementation or migration experience, CAP exposure, Git-based development, CI/CD familiarity, and relevant SAP certifications are preferred.
- Strong client advisory, communication, collaboration, analytical, troubleshooting, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills are expected.
