Responsibilities
- Design and build SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP extensions with ABAP RAP and CDS views while following clean-core principles.
- Develop and maintain Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 applications using SAP Business Application Studio.
- Assess and implement user-requested changes, favoring BTP-based extensions over core modifications.
- Analyze end-user incidents and provide workarounds, fixes, and root-cause analysis.
- Build and expose OData v4 services through RAP and maintain legacy OData v2 services.
- Configure and maintain Fiori Launchpad spaces and pages.
- Develop integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite, REST/SOAP APIs, and SAP API Business Hub.
- Support key-user extensibility, including adaptation projects and custom fields and logic.
- Participate in S/4HANA implementation, migration, and clean-core assessment projects.
- Provide SAP support services and advise clients on suitable SAP technology solutions.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of SAP development experience with ABAP, ABAP OO, and/or Fiori/UI5.
- Experience with ABAP RAP and CDS view development, or strong aptitude to transition from classic ABAP.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Application Studio; SAP Web IDE experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of OData v4 and valuable knowledge of OData v2.
- Experience with SAP BTP, including the ABAP Environment and/or Cloud Foundry environment.
- Understanding of clean-core principles and SAP key-user, developer, and side-by-side extensibility.
- Experience with Fiori Elements and/or freestyle SAPUI5 development.
- Experience configuring Fiori Launchpad spaces and pages.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs; SAP BTP Integration Suite or API Management exposure is a plus.
- Experience with SAP ABAP OO development.
- S/4HANA implementation or migration experience is preferred.
- Exposure to SAP CAP Model with Node.js or Java is preferred.
- Familiarity with Git-based development and CI/CD is preferred.
- Relevant SAP certifications in BTP, ABAP Cloud, or Fiori/UX are preferred.
- Strong client advisory, communication, collaboration, analytical, troubleshooting, adaptability, and continuous-learning skills are expected.
