Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems for orchestrating and monitoring ML jobs.
- Design reliable software that manages failures and high loads.
- Maintain backend services and APIs for job submission.
- Investigate production issues and implement fixes.
- Review designs and code for simplicity and scalability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and data science teams.
- Focus on scale and maintainability while iterating on new ideas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years, or a PhD.
- Experience in designing high-scale distributed systems.
- Prior experience with job scheduling or workload orchestration platforms.
- Expertise in back-end languages like Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience with distributed systems and modern backend patterns.
- At least 6+ years of active coding and designing experience.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
