
AI Internship: Self-Hosted LLMs for Data Migration

Responsibilities
- Benchmark self-hosted open-source LLMs against cloud models for schema understanding, business-rule extraction, and data-quality assessment.
- Deploy and run candidate models locally using tools such as Ollama, vLLM, and Hugging Face.
- Design and build an agentic pipeline that analyzes legacy schemas, code, and sample data.
- Investigate hidden business rules in legacy systems, including .NET-based applications.
- Validate data consistency and quality and assess the complexity of a representative legacy migration.
- Generate automated effort and complexity estimates and step-by-step migration guidelines.
- Define accuracy criteria and best practices for replacing manual migration scoping in fixed-price bids.
- Evaluate and document resource, cost, and licensing trade-offs between self-hosted and cloud models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Comfortable programming in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with LLMs and ideally experience deploying them locally with tools such as Ollama, vLLM, or Hugging Face.
- Curiosity about agentic AI and interest in building and benchmarking an independent pipeline.
- Basic understanding of database schemas and data quality.
- Structured working style and ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Fluency in written and spoken English plus German or French.
- Academic transcripts are required with the application.
