Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction for SAP Commerce Cloud application development, architecture, design, integration, and testing.
  • Govern third-party technical designs and application recommendations for consistency, performance, and maintainability.
  • Review SAP Commerce Cloud roadmaps and releases and guide upgrade and customization decisions.
  • Define and enforce coding, code review, integration, performance, and application stability best practices.
  • Resolve application and system integration issues in partnership with the Support Team and communicate implications to the business.
  • Coach, mentor, and train internal and external software development teams.
  • Research ecommerce industry practices and contribute to IT strategy, application roadmaps, and business cases for customizations.
  • Coordinate with IT leads to support project progress and adherence to coding and integration standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least 10 years of software development experience, including 8 years designing and architecting software solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, including CCV2 v2211, and SAP Composable Storefront with Spartacus.
  • Experience upgrading SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP Composable Storefront beyond version 2211.
  • Extensive experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S4/HANA, Cybersource, Tealium, Adobe Analytics, and other third-party applications using APIs, web services, and middleware.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, cloud deployment, CI/CD tools, and platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Angular, application performance optimization, tuning, scaling, load balancing, Dynatrace, security practices based on OWASP and NIST, and accessibility practices based on WCAG.
  • Relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Development Professional - SAP Commerce Cloud Developer are valued.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, collaboration, and mentoring skills, plus willingness to work occasional off-hours or weekends.
