Responsibilities
- Design and implement timing-critical firmware for 5G NR modems, including control flows, scheduling, and state machines.
- Implement modem features based on 3GPP specifications, including 5G NR, LTE, and multi-RAT operation.
- Collaborate with modem systems, vFW, PHY, and hardware teams on end-to-end solution definition and integration.
- Debug complex issues involving firmware, hardware, and system interactions.
- Participate in bring-up, integration, and commercialization of new modem platforms.
- Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and technical problem solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent qualifying master's degree or PhD.
- Strong programming skills in C.
- The role description requests 4–6 years of embedded systems or firmware development experience.
- Minimum qualifications specify a bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of relevant engineering experience, a master's degree plus 1+ year, or a PhD in a related field.
- Understanding of real-time systems, interrupts, concurrency, and low-level control logic.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications include cellular modem experience with 5G NR or LTE, system firmware, scheduler or control-plane logic, 3GPP specifications, hardware registers, DMA, timers, and firmware optimization for performance, latency, or power.
