Base Salary
$145k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain integrations between Infleqtion quantum software and external software platforms, scientific applications, cloud environments, HPC systems, and enterprise tools.
- Develop APIs, SDK integrations, plugins, adapters, workflow connectors, reference implementations, and other components connecting Infleqtion systems with third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with external partners and internal engineering teams to define integration architectures, interfaces, workflows, and technical requirements.
- Build hybrid quantum-classical workflows covering job submission, orchestration, data movement, resource management, and result processing.
- Develop prototypes and proofs of concept, troubleshoot cross-system integration issues, and support production deployment.
- Create integration documentation, technical specifications, reference architectures, tutorials, and developer examples.
- Establish automated testing, monitoring, and validation approaches for reliable integrations.
- Contribute to partner workshops, design sessions, software architecture, developer tooling, and product roadmap discussions.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, physics, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
- High proficiency in software development, preferably with Python; C++, Rust, Go, Java, or Julia experience is beneficial.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining production-quality software.
- Experience designing and consuming APIs and integrating software systems developed by different organizations or teams.
- Familiarity with distributed computing, cloud computing, or HPC environments and modern software architecture concepts.
- Backend development experience with technologies such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, gRPC, PostgreSQL, or SQLAlchemy.
- Cloud development experience, preferably with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, automated testing, issue tracking, version control, code review, observability, type checking, and maintainable API design.
- Ability to collaborate directly with external engineering teams and translate between different technical architectures and requirements.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, quantum computing software experience, experience integrating quantum and classical systems, AI-assisted development tooling experience, and familiarity with Cirq, Qiskit, PennyLane, or CUDA-Q.
- Experience integrating software into scientific or engineering applications and familiarity with regulated, government, national-security, or security-sensitive environments are preferred.
- Front-end or GUI experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS is preferred.
