Responsibilities
- Define and lead the target technical architecture for replacing legacy Excel and Power Apps solutions with a scalable cloud-native platform on Google Cloud Platform.
- Design and oversee GCP cloud architecture using Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and API Gateway.
- Establish solution architecture, technical standards, design principles, and implementation roadmaps.
- Design data models, calculation hierarchies, business logic, integration patterns, and API architecture.
- Lead frontend architecture for grid-based applications using React, AG Grid, or similar frameworks.
- Design secure authentication and authorization using RBAC, Azure Active Directory, and SSO.
- Lead Python backend architecture and development practices for scalable and maintainable systems.
- Define REST and GraphQL API standards, including validation, error handling, security, and performance controls.
- Establish CI/CD pipeline design, code review guidelines, specification-driven development practices, and engineering quality standards.
- Review AI- and Copilot-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, compliance, and architectural alignment.
- Lead the identification and resolution of integration defects during System Integration Testing.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience.
- Extensive solution and cloud architecture experience with expert-level Google Cloud Platform knowledge.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and API Gateway.
- Strong Python programming, backend solution design, data modeling, enterprise integration, API architecture, and distributed-systems experience.
- Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs and frontend architectures using React, AG Grid, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of RBAC, Azure Active Directory, SSO, and enterprise identity and access management integrations.
- Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines, engineering standards, structured code reviews, and secure cloud-native applications.
- Experience reviewing AI- or Copilot-generated code within specification-driven development practices.
- Strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience migrating legacy Excel, VBA, or Power Apps solutions to cloud-native platforms is advantageous.
- Exposure to BTDP integration, BigQuery reporting architecture, and GitHub Copilot development practices is desirable.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
