Base Salary
$148k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement retrieval, ranking, and reranking models for creator content
- Build user representation systems for personalized discovery
- Develop and optimize multi-stage candidate generation and impression allocation pipelines
- Balance relevance, diversity, and fair content exposure across a rapidly changing catalog
- Design and run A/B experiments and own holistic recommendation-quality evaluation frameworks
- Drive model improvements from experimentation through production deployment
- Collaborate with analytics and content quality teams on genre, creator credibility, and content quality signals
- Own tradeoffs among batch, near-real-time, and streaming ML serving architectures
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience building production recommendation or ranking systems, ideally in UGC, marketplace, or content discovery environments
- Experience with deep learning for information retrieval and multi-stage recommendation pipelines
- Ability to design and analyze A/B experiments and understand recommendation-system biases
- Strong Python engineering skills with PyTorch and large-scale data processing frameworks, preferably Spark
- Comfort working in a cloud-based machine learning environment
- Experience with explore/exploit strategies, content cold-start, or counterfactual evaluation methods
- Experience using NLP, vision, or generative AI content-understanding models as ranking features
- Familiarity with creator economy dynamics and recommendation effects on content quality and creator incentives
- Experience with PyTorch, TorchRec, Transformers, Ray, Databricks, and AWS
- Passion for video games and/or experience with gaming analytics
