Base Salary
$135k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services for operational data and AI systems.
- Build robust APIs for frontend developers and external systems, and integrate server-side logic with user-facing elements.
- Design efficient data structures and algorithms for large-scale, high-throughput data.
- Analyze and optimize applications for speed, scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, establish coding guidelines, and promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with technical, non-technical, frontend, and cross-functional teammates to improve user workflows and product capabilities.
- Support and maintain live backend systems throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Experience designing and developing features and improvements for live backend systems, including ongoing support and maintenance.
- In-depth understanding of data structures, system architecture, API development for microservices frameworks, distributed systems, and backend best practices.
- Engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a similar field.
- Strong coding skills in languages such as Java, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to iterate quickly while incorporating feedback.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
