Base Salary
$110k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement secure, high-quality software solutions for Gen’s non-mainframe applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer cases escalated to engineering.
- Contribute to technical design, security standards, testing strategies, and code reviews.
- Provide subject matter expertise through technical blogs, webinars, documentation, and best-practice guidance.
- Advise enterprise customers on complex business requirements, Gen modernization, and security practices.
- Engage with mainframe software while primarily supporting distributed applications.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
- Strong analytical, problem-analysis, debugging, and complex component relationship skills.
- Deep hands-on coding experience with Java, C#, C, and/or C++.
- Experience with Windows, Unix, Linux, and relational databases.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, containers, .NET, TCP/IP, Tuxedo, WebSphere, Liberty, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, InstallAnywhere, or Eclipse.
- Experience designing and using web APIs such as gRPC and REST.
- Preferred experience includes language servers, compilers, microservices, client-server communication, cybersecurity, cryptography, secure coding, access controls, passkeys, and TLS.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, component-based development, test automation, CI/CD, source code management, and GitHub.
- Additional beneficial technologies include Python, TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Jakarta, Oracle, Db2, MS SQL Server, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, COM, Windows MFC, Jenkins, and Ansible.
- Experience with mainframe technologies or developing and maintaining Gen is beneficial.
