Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery for client projects, maintaining high standards for quality and performance.
- Design, implement, and scale kdb+ architectures handling billions of rows of time-series data.
- Develop, test, support, and maintain client applications across the full development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with quants, traders, and analysts to translate business needs into performant code.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Drive innovation in kdb+, q, and emerging technologies.
- Communicate complex systems and technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on kdb+ development experience with deep expertise in q and time-series data.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling kdb+ systems in production.
- Strong background in Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and decision-making in fast-paced projects.
- Experience in capital markets or investment banking.
- Passion for clean, performant code and continuous improvement.
- Preferred experience with Claude, Co-Pilot, Python, AWS, GCP, Azure, or other time-series databases.
- Preferred exposure to tick data, real-time analytics, electronic trading systems, or people management and team leadership.
