Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop SDKs, services, shared packages, tools, and a cross-language runtime environment that improve engineering productivity.
- Architect and implement high-performance, scalable services used by internal engineering customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in distributed caching, messaging, and related design patterns.
- Partner with engineering teams to identify inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions and engineering patterns.
- Lead initiatives to improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and software quality.
- Own projects from initial concept through production and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5-6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience building robust, mission-critical systems using one or more general-purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Expertise designing and optimizing distributed systems, including caching strategies and message queuing systems.
- Ability to analyze and improve system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
- Experience solving complex problems with significant business impact and understanding how systems interact with production environments and platform primitives.
- Ability to learn additional coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience owning projects from idea through production and mentoring junior engineers.
