Responsibilities
- Provide trade-floor support to FX and Commodities front-office traders and middle-office operations.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with related systems.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI coding and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and production-support workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex business and infrastructure issues in in-house trading applications to minimize downtime.
- Develop monitoring tools, automation solutions, helper APIs, and other tools to reduce manual work.
- Drive projects involving new business onboarding, infrastructure upgrades, and resiliency management.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with a general-purpose programming language, especially Python, and automation scripting.
- Experience managing applications or infrastructure in large-scale on-premises and public-cloud technology environments.
- Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
- Experience executing processes within the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: domain knowledge of front- or middle-office businesses, including FX or Commodities.
