Responsibilities
- Define, design, and document scalable, performant, accessible, and maintainable frontend architecture.
- Establish frontend development best practices, frameworks, and design patterns across teams.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate concepts into pixel-perfect interfaces.
- Partner with backend engineers on APIs and data integration strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, conduct code reviews, and promote continuous improvement.
- Optimize frontend performance across browsers and devices and identify bottlenecks.
- Evaluate frontend technologies, frameworks, and tools for the evolving platform.
- Promote reusable architecture across web and mobile solutions and contribute to cross-team initiatives.
- Maintain documentation of frontend architecture, workflows, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional frontend development experience, including significant architectural or lead experience.
- Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience architecting and building large-scale, high-performance web applications.
- Strong knowledge of web performance, security, accessibility standards including WCAG, and responsive design.
- Experience with state management, component-based architecture, modular design, backend integration, RESTful APIs, and micro frontends.
- Proficiency with build tools such as Webpack and Babel, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams and with mobile web or hybrid app development.
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and collaboration with design systems teams.
- Experience with internationalization, localization, accessibility compliance, and AI tools including Augment, Cursor, and Claude Code.
- Open-source frontend contributions or active involvement in frontend technology communities is valued.
