Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, maintainable, performant Java applications and services supporting credit risk workflows.
- Build and maintain responsive React front-end features for risk analysts and business stakeholders.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and data models for reporting, analytics, and credit risk platforms.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
- Identify data and system patterns to improve coding practices, architecture, and application reliability.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver credit risk solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, share reusable patterns, and support continuous improvement and best-practice adoption.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in enterprise-scale environments.
- Proficiency in Java, modern frameworks, and object-oriented design for backend development.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Kafka, event-driven architecture, and resilient systems.
- Experience developing front-end solutions with React or comparable modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience using authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for application development, data analysis, or reporting.
- Understanding of agile software delivery, continuous integration, continuous delivery, application resiliency, and secure coding standards.
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and maintain code in a large, complex corporate technology environment.
- Preferred: familiarity with credit risk or financial risk frameworks and experience with AWS or Azure.
- Preferred: exposure to data visualization or reporting frameworks and knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
- Preferred: experience contributing to or leading quality- and security-focused code reviews.
