Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions and analytics dashboards for proactive monitoring and network hygiene.
- Document development and system modifications and ensure the integrity and security of institutional data.
- Create data-flow diagrams and database structure diagrams to define workflows and database needs.
- Build and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and microservice-based solutions.
- Write unit and integration tests and use CI/CD and security scanning tools.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience with extensive Django or Flask experience and relational databases in a microservice-based architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
- Strong experience with AWS technologies including Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway, Aurora RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, EKS, ECS, S3, AWS SDK, Lambda, and SQS.
- Proficiency with unit and integration testing, Git, CI/CD tooling, and security scans.
- Knowledge of Linux administration, console commands, scripting, and utilities including Python and Bash.
- Demonstrated experience building REST APIs and using the OpenAPI or Swagger specification.
- Experience with Agile development, CI/CD tools, and project tracking tools.
- Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases and persistent stores including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
