Responsibilities
- Define the architecture and long-term strategy for large-scale automated test systems supporting AI and embedded software products.
- Architect, design, and personally deliver automated test and verification systems for complex software products.
- Own the technical direction of Python-based test automation frameworks used across CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve Jenkins-based CI infrastructure at a systems level, including pipeline design, reliability, observability, and scalability.
- Lead root-cause analysis for systemic failures and implement durable solutions.
- Define testing requirements, coverage strategies, and quality gates with engineering leads.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning software, ML, infrastructure, and systems teams.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, establish technical standards, and communicate technical strategy and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or a master's degree or PhD in a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant hands-on experience for bachelor's candidates, 7 years for master's candidates, or 6 years for PhD candidates in software engineering, test infrastructure, systems verification, or ASIC design, verification, validation, or integration.
- Strong Python programming skills and proficiency in at least one systems language such as C or C++.
- Deep experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins at scale and a strong Linux systems background.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and influence engineering direction.
- Preferred qualifications include large-scale test automation framework ownership, embedded systems or device-level testing, ML workflows and tooling, containerisation, infrastructure-as-code, technical roadmapping, and mentoring.
