Base Salary
$105k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap modernizing the servicing organization with API-first design.
- Provide technical and thought leadership across multiple areas and throughout the enterprise.
- Design and develop APIs, microservices, full-stack applications, and backend domain services.
- Build highly resilient, event-driven, messaging-based, and real-time solutions at scale.
- Deploy applications in hybrid cloud environments using Kubernetes and cloud-native tools and services.
- Ensure the quality, usability, performance, reliability, and scalability of solutions.
- Collaborate across engineering and technology teams to solve complex problems and deliver software across multiple domains.
- Mentor and coach engineering and product communities and influence and educate executives.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise and the ability to design experiments and influence engineering direction and product roadmaps.
- Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research into production.
- Proven expertise in API-first engineering, service orchestration, event-driven architecture, federated GraphQL, and gRPC implementations.
- Ability to manage schema evolution, versioning, and high-performance API-driven systems.
- Experience designing and delivering resilient, low-latency event-driven and messaging solutions at scale.
- Deep hands-on experience building complex SaaS systems for large-scale business-focused environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Fluency and specialization in Java plus at least one other modern language such as C#, C++, or Python, with object-oriented design experience.
- Extensive experience leading and building full-stack applications and services.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos, Cassandra, Apache Trino, and other SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience designing system architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling for new and existing systems.
- Experience implementing security protocols across services and products, including Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
