Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure application architecture under the Director of Software Engineering.
- Own onshore alignment and daily handoff cadence through structured, asynchronous updates and escalation of decisions requiring onshore input.
- Drive software engineering best practices covering DevOps, monitoring and observability, performance, and automated testing.
- Oversee legacy application maintenance and migration with minimal customer disruption.
- Embed SOC2 controls, evidence collection, access management, and secure development processes into workflows.
- Promote clean, maintainable code and effective peer reviews.
- Coordinate cross-team integration and successful application deployments.
- Assist with SaaS system architecture and implement key architectural initiatives.
- Assess and improve system performance, accuracy, reliability, and scalability while driving root-cause analysis for production issues.
- Mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay current with software engineering and architecture trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 10 years of qualifying software engineering experience is required.
- At least five years of SaaS application development experience is required.
- Working knowledge of VB.NET and proficiency in multiple programming languages, especially C#, React, Node.js, Python, and TypeScript, is preferred.
- Experience implementing and maintaining SOC2 Type 2 certification in SaaS products is preferred.
- Ability to architect, design, build, and integrate frontend user interfaces, backend services, and APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, cloud computing, APIs, service deprecation, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Git.
- Experience leading hybrid onshore and offshore software engineering teams is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
