Responsibilities
- Define trust and safety problems and determine what content and behavior models should detect.
- Work with labelers to create data for moderation models.
- Train, evaluate, and deploy classifiers and LLM-based models on self-hosted GPUs.
- Own model accuracy, latency, and cost across millions of images and messages per day.
- Build image and chat moderation systems for prohibited content and reduce false positives.
- Develop rapid retraining, evaluation, shadowing, and deployment workflows.
- Automate portions of content review and user banning with appropriate safeguards.
- Measure production outcomes and continuously improve deployed models.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building technically complex products or solving difficult problems at meaningful scale.
- Strong product judgment, including user awareness and evidence-based prioritization.
- Ability to independently turn ambiguous problems into shipped products and own post-launch outcomes.
- Trust and safety experience, ideally involving moderation or safety models at scale and sensitive data.
- Rigorous, pragmatic approach to experimentation, impact measurement, and cost-conscious engineering.
- Clear, concise communication and constructive challenge of ideas.
- Curiosity about new AI models and tools.
- Motivation to take significant ownership and maintain high standards.
- Experience with all listed technologies is not required.
