Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, evaluate, deploy, and monitor AI/ML products, pipelines, and services.
- Apply engineering practices including test automation, CI/CD, refactoring, observability, Docker, and infrastructure as code.
- Develop, test, and maintain real-time and batch data engineering pipelines using Airflow, SQL, BigQuery, and Kafka.
- Build automated evaluation and monitoring systems to measure product performance, detect drift, and ensure quality at scale.
- Implement and optimize production ML models for ranking, relevance, and retrieval using embeddings, transformers, and LLMs.
- Evaluate and optimize third-party models and manage the model lifecycle, including versioning, deployment, and CI/CD integration.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of ML platform capabilities that accelerate delivery across teams.
- Lead the design, scoping, and delivery of key feature slices while collaborating with product, engineering, data, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proficiency in machine learning, ML engineering, MLOps, software engineering, and LLMs in a commercial production environment.
- Experience applying machine learning across training, evaluation, inference, and model monitoring with structured and unstructured data, including image and text.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant ML technologies, with the ability to create high-quality, maintainable software.
- Ability to select appropriate machine learning approaches and tools for commercial applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and with business stakeholders.
- Ability to independently and collaboratively lead the design, scoping, and delivery of feature slices to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
- Motivation to learn, mentor others, improve processes, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
