Base Salary
$188k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define IAM technical strategy and a multi-year roadmap with Product and Engineering Leadership
- Lead architecture and implementation of high-throughput, low-latency authentication and authorization systems across CoreWeave services
- Design customer-facing identity lifecycle management, IdP integration, and granular permissioning experiences
- Establish security-first standards for code quality, design reviews, and threat modeling
- Improve operational maturity through SLOs, deep-stack observability, and automation that reduces systemic toil
- Mentor senior engineers and promote continuous learning and high-performance engineering
- Lead alignment on security initiatives across the engineering organization and communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders
Requirements
- 10+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production using one or more of Go, TypeScript, or React
- 5+ years of IAM domain expertise developing identity products and working with OIDC, OAuth2.0, SAML, and JWT
- Experience leading large, cross-functional projects from inception through planet-scale deployment with measurable business impact
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, large-scale microservices architecture, and advanced CI/CD patterns
- Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and governance needs, including SOC2 and HIPAA
- Ability to synthesize ambiguous requirements into technical designs and communicate trade-offs to executive and technical audiences
- Expertise debugging complex intermittent issues in distributed environments
- Preferred experience decomposing monolithic architectures into high-performance microservices
- Preferred familiarity with AI agents such as Claude and Cursor for software development
- Preferred familiarity with AI/ML workloads, GPU-based infrastructure, and MLOps security challenges
- Preferred experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) or Cedar
- Expertise in one or more of Go, TypeScript, or Python and deep technical knowledge of distributed systems
