Sr. Platform Operations Engineer

Responsibilities
- Identify monitoring and performance optimization opportunities and implement improvements across the platform.
- Apply AI and machine learning to anomaly detection, alert correlation, noise reduction, and operational issue resolution.
- Conduct incident root cause analysis and develop proactive strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex platform and service performance or stability issues.
- Build and maintain AI-assisted tooling and automation to reduce manual operations and accelerate incident response.
- Document procedures and maintain SOP and alert-response documentation.
- Collaborate with Platform Operations Analysts, engineering, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders while serving as an observability and AI-driven operations subject matter expert.
Requirements
- A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in observability, monitoring, or site reliability roles in highly available, high-throughput, or transaction-processing environments.
- Experience applying AI or machine learning to operational problems such as anomaly detection, alert correlation, or automated remediation.
- A strong incident management track record and experience driving issues to resolution while minimizing business impact.
- Deep proficiency with an enterprise APM or observability platform such as Dynatrace, Datadog, or New Relic.
- Experience with AIOps, ML-driven observability, log management and analysis tools such as Splunk, and AI-assisted development or LLM-based tooling.
- Proficiency with PowerShell and/or Python for scripting, automation, observability tooling, and remediation.
- Experience using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or Azure AI Foundry for AI-driven automation workflows.
- Working knowledge of monitoring modern containerized workloads and administering third-party tools with Configuration-As-Code.
- Preferred qualifications include payment processing or financial services experience, PCI policy knowledge, AI agent or LLM tooling experience, and mentoring experience.
