Base Salary
$92k - $115k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities, including LLMs, embeddings, classification, and third-party AI services, into production applications.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines for AI workflows and implement retrieval-augmented generation systems.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered features.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction.
- Build APIs, RAG pipelines, LLM workflow or agent orchestration services, and tools for evaluating and monitoring model performance.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in one or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, or Go.
- Experience building and maintaining backend systems and APIs.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of software design principles and system architecture.
- Familiarity with integrating AI APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, model limitations, and evaluation.
- Preferred experience includes production AI applications, Pinecone or Weaviate, LangChain or LlamaIndex, machine learning fundamentals, Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven or streaming architectures, and React or Next.js.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, attention to detail, and interest in emerging AI technologies.
