Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Content API endpoints, Search Service utilities, and index management tooling across the AI Studio platform.
- Write and execute unit tests for new and existing platform components.
- Implement Content API contribution validation, including field checks, controlled vocabularies, required fields, and structured errors.
- Maintain OpenSearch index mappings and debug unexpected search results.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture and planning discussions.
- Maintain API references, contribution guides, and internal technical documentation.
- Investigate and reproduce bugs, provide root cause analysis, and propose fixes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent experience through internships, academic projects, or personal projects.
- Foundational proficiency in Python or Node.js and the ability to contribute to an existing codebase.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, request and response structures, status codes, and JSON payloads.
- Exposure to Git or another version control system, including branching, commits, and pull requests.
- Ability to write basic unit tests and understand automated testing in production codebases.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, collaboration, and willingness-to-learn skills.
- Preferred exposure to LLMs, RAG systems, AI application development, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, AWS, Azure, GCP, JSON Schema, Docker, multi-agent AI systems, or Infor OS.
