Base Salary
$213k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build MCP servers, agents, and plugin infrastructure for Carta’s AI-native development platform.
- Design and ship agents that solve developer problems across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Architect and drive CI/CD pipelines that automate build, testing, and deployment across R&D.
- Build reliable infrastructure for AI tooling and establish patterns for other engineers to follow.
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through code reviews and architectural guidance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in platform, backend, or full-stack engineering.
- Production experience shipping LLM systems, MCP servers or clients, AI extensions, connectors, or agents.
- Experience building platforms and APIs that other engineers build on top of, with strong attention to developer ergonomics and performance.
- Experience with Python or Java; CI/CD tooling such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Docker; and cloud-native technologies including AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Vault and Cloudsmith is a plus.
- Awareness of least-privilege security, token lifecycle management, and software supply-chain risks.
- Ability to independently break down ambiguous problems, use data in decision-making, and own outcomes end to end.
