Base Salary
$184k - $357k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain profiling frameworks providing a unified view across CPU and GPU environments.
- Benchmark EDA applications to analyze memory access patterns, cache hit rates, and instruction-level parallelism.
- Use GPU profilers to identify warp divergence, occupancy issues, PCIe bottlenecks, and kernel stalls.
- Monitor and attribute high-watermark memory usage in multi-terabyte EDA builds and identify compression or memory-pooling opportunities.
- Develop predictive models for hardware procurement and cloud instance selection based on gate count and algorithmic complexity.
Requirements
- Understand the CUDA programming model and use NVIDIA Nsight Systems or Nsight Compute to address GPU performance issues.
- Have extensive knowledge of systems profiling tools such as perf, eBPF, VTune, or Valgrind, including their internal mechanisms.
- Have more than 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years of systems-level performance analysis.
- Have experience with distributed compute environments such as Slurm, LSF, or Kubernetes.
- Hold a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate strong benchmarking skills and the ability to translate complex performance data into actionable engineering roadmaps.
Benefits
- Competitive base salary of $184,000-$287,500 for Level 4 or $224,000-$356,500 for Level 5, plus equity and benefits.
