Responsibilities
- Architect and implement Azure DevOps solutions covering CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native designs.
- Design multi-stage CI/CD pipelines and lead modernization from classic or legacy pipelines to YAML and GitHub Actions.
- Lead Helm chart design, Kubernetes manifests, release templates, AKS lifecycle strategy, networking, security, scaling, and multi-region resilience.
- Oversee automated build, test, deployment, configuration management, environment alignment, and complex deployment incident troubleshooting.
- Define standards for GitOps, secure SDLC, branching, versioning, Helm packaging, release governance, promotions, secrets management, dependency governance, and hardening.
- Implement security, governance, RBAC, audit trails, scanning, and compliance controls across Azure, AKS, and CI/CD.
- Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, QA, product, and engineering teams as the senior DevOps authority.
- Maintain technical documentation, mentor engineers, and deliver training on CI/CD, Kubernetes, automation, and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of hands-on Azure experience with expert-level cloud and infrastructure knowledge.
- Deep AKS expertise, including cluster design, networking, security, RBAC, scaling, and multi-region deployments.
- Advanced GitHub and Azure DevOps branching, YAML pipeline, release governance, and CI/CD modernization experience.
- Required expertise with Helm and Helm charts, plus Docker and multi-stage Dockerfiles.
- Experience with Terraform or Bicep, ARM templates, and preferably Ansible or Ansible Tower.
- Expert Kubernetes knowledge covering deployments, ingress, config maps, secrets, RBAC, network policies, and HPA/VPA scaling.
- Experience with GitOps tooling such as Flux or ArgoCD and preferably service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Experience with SonarQube, Mend, AquaSec, Key Vault or Vault, container security, and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency in C#, Python, or Node.js, with strong PowerShell, Bash, Python, and YAML scripting skills.
- Experience with REST APIs, Azure, GitHub, Kubernetes APIs, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, and Log Analytics.
- Knowledge of SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CKA, or CKAD certification is preferred.
- Experience leading global teams across time zones, large-scale CI/CD modernization, SRE and observability implementation, FinOps, or cloud cost optimization is preferred.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI agents, AI/ML operations, or OpenAI integration is a plus.
