Responsibilities

  • Act as the team's technical referent by driving architectural decisions, setting engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and influencing beyond the team.
  • Build AI-first platform engineering capabilities, including AI agents, assistants, plugins, skills, and MCP integrations across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Design and implement self-service platforms, internal developer platforms, automation frameworks, and developer tooling.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes to support scalable, reliable, and secure releases.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using declarative and automated approaches.
  • Architect scalable and resilient cloud-based solutions with attention to security, observability, and cost optimization.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance using monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
  • Evaluate AI models, agents, and tools and define guidelines for their secure and responsible adoption.

Requirements

  • Proven experience serving as a technical referent or lead, driving technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and influencing beyond an individual team.
  • Experience using AI agents and coding assistants and understanding models, agent skills, plugins, and protocols such as MCP.
  • Hands-on experience integrating AI into engineering workflows through agentic automation, custom MCP servers, or AI-assisted CI/CD.
  • Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with automation and deployment tools.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of container orchestration and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience building and managing internal developer platforms and self-service infrastructure solutions.
  • Expertise in cloud environments and practices for security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Scripting and automation skills using programming languages.
  • Proficiency with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
  • Knowledge of GitOps, automated testing, continuous deployment, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Security-first approach to compliance and best practices across cloud, infrastructure, and AI tooling.
