Base Salary
$140k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engineer and iterate realtime voice AI services and agent workflows, including tool orchestration, memory, and multi-step reasoning.
- Design and implement highly available, low-latency, scalable architectures for consumer and enterprise usage.
- Build monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing foundations for production systems.
- Integrate LLM, ASR, and TTS capabilities into product pipelines.
- Build evaluation frameworks and automated testing for agent and voice quality.
- Extend into mobile, SDK, or frontend surfaces as needed to ship end-to-end features.
- Collaborate with Product, Applied AI, mobile, and GTM teams on enterprise proofs of concept and consumer features.
- Use AI coding assistants, agentic development workflows, and automated debugging tools while maintaining engineering quality.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership and end-to-end delivery of critical systems or components.
- Strong data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.
- Experience building scalable online services, API designs, asynchronous workflows, and microservices.
- Knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals, databases, caching, messaging, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience building products with LLMs, agents, or workflow automation and turning prototypes into production-ready systems.
- Experience delivering production systems with attention to reliability, latency, and scalability.
- Knowledge of logging, monitoring, alerting, tracing, automated testing, CI/CD, and disciplined code review.
- Strong ownership, ability to work under ambiguity, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong plus: native iOS or Android, Flutter, React Native, mobile SDK, WebRTC, audio streaming, low-latency transport, ASR/TTS pipelines, voice agents, React, or TypeScript experience.
